How do you treat yourself when no one else is looking?
Do you embrace your curves, or curse your weight and yourself for gaining it? Do you walk or exercise to feel energy and health, or to punish your body?
Do you feed your mind with beauty and light, or do you treat yourself as someone undeserving?
Do you acknowledge the good things you do, or do you only notice the bad, the hurt, the mistakes?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Oftentimes we get upset and blame others for treating us badly, or sometimes we think we deserve it and don’t say anything, but it all comes from ourselves first. We have to stop expecting others to treat us better than we treat ourselves.
I understand that it’s hard to step out of that cycle. It’s hard to stop accepting the negative treatment. Believe me, I’ve been there and I definitely know that’s a hard step to take.
But once you can believe that you are worth more...
Once you do the work to heal your inner wounds...
Once you communicate self-love to your subconscious...
It will be easier to stop accepting that treatment from others. You will be able to walk away from it. And I promise you, it’ll be worth it!

Hi there! I've created a free guide to help you Trust Yourself again (or maybe for the first time). This is not a replacement for therapy or working directly with a skilled practitioner, but it will give you support on your journey. Included are journaling prompts, education on how trauma impacts our connection with ourselves, and 5 steps to start trusting yourself more.
