What Really Matters In Life

Updated: Jul 15, 2020

Is a Louis Vuitton purse still worth it’s $ if there’s no where to take it and show it off and flossing wealth in this crisis would be taboo? It’s not, because at the end of the day it’s a bag that society as ascribed value to. And that bag isn’t going to ease loneliness and call you to check in on you.

I’m not bashing anyone who owns and values designer bags (I personally gave the few I had away to low wage earning staff I used to supervise when they no longer brought me joy but seeing them light up and floss those purses was absolute joy) but what I am acknowledging is that we ALL are in a pause and being asked to reevaluate what really matters in our lives.

My online and in real life family and friends have been invaluable over the last 3 weeks since this crisis began. My husband as been killing it with being a full time stay at home dad of 3 (soon to be 4-he’s picking up his daughter from her mom today) and I couldn’t think of a better partner to have go through this with.

Cultivating healthy relationships has not been an overnight matter and isn’t always easy. It took me years Of personal development and of course is a lifetime job. But right now I am so grateful for all of those hours spent reading spiritual books, meditating, therapy, self help groups, etc because I have a small but mighty support system in my life.

So if you’re looking for support to get through this time, to heal and have healthy relationships, reach out to me. I’m accepting new 1:1 clients again and offering complimentary consultations.

With Compassion,

Cassandra Solano, LCSW
