I’m feeling called to share on my experience in addiction and as a person with some time sober here. I’ve shared thousands of times in self help meetings about my story but haven’t fully stepped into sharing on this platform.
The details are humorous, tragic, traumatizing, and full of moments of absolute grace where I survived by seconds and inches.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What I felt called to share today are some of the felt experiences of someone in addiction. Especially around the holidays. If you’re struggling with your relationship to alcohol or drugs today, I see you. I feel the disappointment you may have in yourself, the loneliness, the confusion and desperation.
I felt these things too. And am sending you so much love and my hope is that this gives you some hope that things an get different, even better.

Do You Struggle with Trusting Yourself?
Hi there! I've created a free guide to help you Trust Yourself again (or maybe for the first time). This is not a replacement for therapy or working directly with a skilled practitioner, but it will give you support on your journey. Included are journaling prompts, education on how trauma impacts our connection with ourselves, and 5 steps to start trusting yourself more.
