As the world slowly becomes more and more active, yet not back to normal, it's okay to take your time as you ease back in.
Being productive, while still working from home, while maybe our kids are home with us too, while we aren't sure what's going on in the world and what's going to happen next can be extremely challenging.
If you're struggling to feel okay, give yourself grace, and invite self-compassion in.
Take some time for yourself today. Self care does not have to be elaborate or out of reach.
It can look like...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ~taking two minutes to close your eyes and just breathe
~saying no to a commitment you really don't want to take part in
~reserving an hour for yourself in the morning to exercise
~listening to your favorite song as you get ready in the morning
~taking a break to read a chapter of a book you chose
~stepping outside and listening to the sounds of nature
Whether it's a few minutes, an hour, or the whole day, I hope you make the decision to honor your wants and needs first today.
The world will still be there waiting for you when you're done.
